Biography

Alexandre Pato started his career when he was 3 years old by playing futsal (Indoor Football). His talent was known all around the south Brazilian state of Paraná.
Many of his managers praised and offer him and then the teenager went to Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, to try out for Gremio, his favourite team as a child.
But his family thought that; if he signed for Internacional it would be better for him.
In 2001, When he is in 11; he moved and started living there with with 83 other teenagers 
who wanted to show themselves in the Internacional first team.

In 2000, When he was at the age of 3; his doctors determined e had a tumor in his arm. And if it was not remove it would become cancerous in two months.



His family couldn't afford the surgery but one of their family friend who is a doctor; operated as a volunteer for free.
This incident was very important because it happened when Alexandre was working towards a professional career with Internacional.
His nickname Alexandre Pato ("Alex the Duck"), come from the city where he was born.
Club career

Internacional

Pato started his football career at Internacional in Porto Alegre. He played in Internecional youth and senior teams between 2001 and 2007.
His first big success in November 26, 2006; Pato helped Internacional to a 4-1 win over Palmeiras. He scored one of the goals and created the other three of them.
